Bressan
family, born in the area, opened in summer 2003 the bed & breakfast Col de
la Cesa in Gosaldo, a small village with 800 inhabitants, located 1141 m.
above sea level, on the border between Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige
regions within the National Park of Dolomites of Belluno.
The
owners, Christian, a teacher of cooking in high schools for cooking and
hotel-management, Marica and Elisa, teachers in nursery schools, and Marco,
a student and a mountain-lover, cook themselves the rich breakfasts with
delicious almond and jam cakes, apple pies – good “to soak” in milk -
carrot, ricotta, frangipani cakes and other savoury ones. All this goes
perfectly together with the warm bread from the village baker’s, locally
produced butter as well as orange, fig, blackberry, quince, wild berry and
plum marmelades prepared by Granny Antonietta, a well-known expert of
mushrooms and typical recipes of Belluno province.
Thanks
to the carefully selected products offered to the customer, the B&B Col de
la Cesa is listed in the “Quality Card” of the National Park of Dolomites
of Belluno. Starting from next summer, all our guests can taste the
biological honey “Quality Card” of Schena family from Rivamonte Agordino, a
hamlet a few kilometers away.
